Mercy earns Top 100 hospital designation
Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers was named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by IBM Watson Health. The study spotlights hospitals in the U.S. based on a scorecard of publicly available clinical, operational and patient satisfaction metrics and data.
The Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals study uses research to analyze hospital and health systems’ performance in 10 areas addressing risk of mortality and complications, re-admission rates, length of stay, cost and patient satisfaction ratings. This is the first time Mercy Hospital Northwest has been recognized with this honor.
Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas is a 208-bed, faith-based nonprofit hospital offering a 24-hour emergency department, cardiovascular care, women and children’s services, Level III-A neonatal intensive care unit, general, bariatric and orthopedic surgery and more.
Baptist Health sleep center re-accredited
Baptist Health Sleep Disorder Center recently received its re-accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Diagnostic sleep studies are performed to determine if a patient suffers from sleep apnea or other disorders, such as narcolepsy, at the six-bed sleep disorder center inside Baptist Health-Fort Smith. The center also offers home sleep tests for patients.
The program began 10 years ago and is led by Dr. Arturo Meade, a pulmonologist and sleep specialist.
Cory 1st Choice earns top carrier title
Cory 1st Choice Home Delivery was named 2018 Carrier Partner of the Year by Bob’s Discount Furniture for the second consecutive year and fourth time overall. The firm was recently purchased by J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc.
J.B. Hunt completed the acquisition of Cory in February. Cory is now a part of J.B. Hunt Final Mile Services, a division of the company’s Dedicated Contract Services business unit. Final Mile has 100 locations and more than 3.1 million square feet of warehouse and facilities space.
