What often makes food great is authenticity — and it doesn’t get much more authentic than at the South Bay Greek festival.

Community members are invited to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Redondo Beach for a weekend of Greek culture, centered around tradition and family.

The three-day event kicked off Friday, July 12, and will continue Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The church is located at 722 Knob Hill in Redondo Beach.

With church members preparing to serve their community months in advance, the festival features dozens of dishes and desserts, including baklava, kataifi, phyllo dumplings, and more.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can participate in dances, raffles and games that allow for everyone to come together and socialize with their neighbors.
