Lucy Mecklenburgh has thanked fans for their ‘support and kind words’ as she paid tribute to her boyfriend, Celebrity Big Brother star Ryan Thomas, after ‘the toughest couple of days’.
‘May 2017 I fell in love with you @ryanjamesthomas It has been the toughest couple of days watching you suffer,’ she wrote.
‘I cannot thank you all enough for your constant support and your kind words. From Ryan and I thank you. #lovealwayswins.’
On Saturday night she also shared that watching the show was ‘painful’ and that she felt ‘sick’.
‘Can’t stop crying!! Tempted to go and get him out,’ she added before suggesting that she was ‘disgusted with what @ryanjamesthomas was unnecessary put through for days’ and called it ‘mental abuse’.
‘This isn’t entertainment!’ she wrote.
Lucy’s words of thanks come as Ryan was pushed to breaking point on Saturday’s Celebrity Big Brother as the accusations made against him by Roxanne Pallett made their way around the house.
Roxanne, who maintains that Ryan viciously punched her in the ribs two days ago, had told Ben Jardine, Dan Osborne and Jermaine Pennant about what happened from her perspective; i a bid to clear the air, the boys pulled Ryan aside and asked for his side of the story, and he was left gobsmacked as he was told.
After discovering that she had even moved into the spare room for a night because she was afraid of him, Ryan was comforted by Kirstie Alley and Psychic Sally before he moved to the diary room.
Completely breaking into tears, he asked the diary room: ‘I didn’t do anything! I don’t understand how she can do this. I don’t understand it.’
However, things took a turn at the end of the show when Roxanne decided to leave, after hearing demands to have her remove from the live audience outside for Ben’s eviction.
Breaking down in the diary room again, Ryan admitted his relief at hearing that he wasn’t in the wrong from the audience.
‘You’re cocooned in here, and I needed to hear that because I was so scared that I’d let everyone down,’ he said as he cried. ‘I’m telling you after this, I’m going to throw all my emotion out of this and just get on with it. Hopefully there’s no more curve balls. Just put this to bed and move on.’
